Christmas Glitter

I remembered being fascinated by this glitter technique for a good few years.  I have watched repeats of this particular Create & Craft show and am only now trying the technique myself.  Here's my attempt:

Believe me when I say, it looks better in person!!!

Card Recipe:
  • Green & white backing paper is a Pink Petticoat download.  Poinsettia backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Christmas CD.
  • Cuttlebug swirls - I used the debossed side this time.
  • Image is a Stampabilities stamp, coloured with Copics, covered with a double-sided adhesive sheet, sprinkled with a Martha Stewart coarse clear glitter.

Finally a Christmas Card

I have a few pics ready to post.  They are all Christmas cards and just need a sentiment added.  Here's the first one:

A very quick card to put together once I had the picture stamped and all the other elements decided on.  It is a single sheet of backing paper mounted onto black card stock.  Thin black card used to mat and layer.  A Martha Stewart punch to create a decorative element and then a computer generated sentiment to finish.  I will probably use this as a masculine Christmas card.

Card Recipe:
  • Backing paper is from a free magazine download, printed in black & white onto cream paper.
  • I purchased the stamp from Blade Rubber Stamps in London this summer.
  • The sentiment is computer generated.
  • I used the Martha Stewart Doily punch to create the decorative edge and a Tonic inverted corner punch on the sentiment.

Heather is 18

I really wanted to do a girly card for Heather and try out a few ideas. The mini flip card is not my idea.  It is something I have been wanting to incorporate into a card for ages.  If I can find the blog that I saw the original idea on I will link it to here.  Thanks for looking.

Card Recipe:
  • Pale yellow backing paper (hidden)with various handbags from a pack by Dovecraft.  Polka Dots sheet is a Pink Petticoat download.  Pink & Black Boots sheet is from the Boys & Girls Crafters Companion CD.  Cupcakes sheet is a Kirsty Wiseman download.
  • Organza ribbon from Meiflower.
  • All the sentiments are computer generated.
